    Thankful to be able to get away to the coast recently with Valerie for our marriage Anniversary. We first met as teenagers at a church youth group and I have been blessed to share life with this beautiful and amazing girl ever since. So encouraging to teach Bible Studies through Psalm 46 in the Capitol this week. Vs 1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." The powerful hymn "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," by Martin Luther in 1529, is based on this comforting Psalm, and has been gloriously stuck in my mind for days. They need God's help for their discussions and decisions. A very busy week of Assembly and Senate Floor Sessions at the Capitol. Nevertheless, I've been there speaking about the Lord with many and teaching weekly Bible Study groups. Flags flying half-staff today at the Capitol Legislative Annex Building offices for the Governor and all State Legislators, as our nation mourns those harmed by the horrific and evil school shootings in Texas.
